  1. Kev, I admit to being guilty of those kinds of errors also. I'm glad you got it sorted.
  2. Go to the top of this section and there's 3 pinned posts for where to acquire the woods.
  3. Kev, You might have a look here and see if you can find answer to your planking problems: https://modelshipworld.com/forum/98-planking-downloads-and-tutorials-and-videos/
  4. Welcome back home, Kev.
  5. There's been at least one build were the builder used these. Do a search using the key words "coffee" "sticks" and another with "coffee" stirrers". The basic issue though is size. Depending on the scale, they may be too short, or too thick, or too wide so take that into consideration.
  6. The next thing we'll know is that you'll be tempted to car repairs and making aftermarket part, Chris. She's looking really good.
  7. Nany, nany, foo, foo..... <pouts> I'm immature, not childish.
  8. Welcome to MSW, Jose. Your English is fine, no apologies needed.
  9. Very clean and very well done, CRI-CRI. I've enjoyed following your bujld.
  10. I never did understand the second story door. If the snow is up that high (or close to it) would wouldn't stepping out the door lead to your being buried in the snow? Or did this assume you have snow shoes?
  11. I moved this to the appropriate area here on MSW.
  12. Will you be leaving some planks off in order to see the iron cross works?
  13. Your build seems to me to be way beyond many of us mere mortals. Just amazing.
  14. Just beautiful, Alex. Your build is more like fine art.
  15. Richard, since your revising and really starting over, it would probably be best to just merge this with your other build topic on this model. Many of do have "restarts" and just continue the build log as it gives a better overall read of what worked and what didn't work. Let me know and I'll merge them for you.
  16. Nice work on a tiny difficult piece, Steven. On the next batch, before carving them to shape, you might try brushing on either some thin (or extra thin) CA or thin out some PVA with water and soak the wood strips first.
  17. Hi Marty, If you'll go here the the database: https://thenrg.org/resource/articles there's an article on Basic Tools in the Materials/Tools area. Unless you're a tool-holic like many of us (yep, I seem to be one also) only buy tools after the basics as you need them.
  18. Welcome to MSW, Stickman. Give some thought to an introduction as we're all friends here.
  19. Welcome to MSW, JB. Give some thought to an introduction as we're all friends here.
