  1. Thank you, Johann! I really appreciate your kind words! Best regards Thomas
  2. Best wishes for a fast recovery, Johann! I am always tremendously enjoying updates of your build log, but good health comes first. Thomas
  3. I love these mini kits from Chuck. Seeing your picture I am really tempted to order the Winchelsea stove and capstan, too, just to use them as little stand alone models. The ship's wheel is already part of my Syren 🙂 Thomas
  4. Thank you, Chuck and Mike! I really appreciate your interest in my model. Thomas
  5. Everything looks perfect as usual Mike! And I know the feeling of 'trying to get away with something'. It never works for me. So if I don't like something on my model I don't argue with myself any longer (just prolonging the agony) and redo it right away 🙂 Thomas
  6. It is a while back that I did this, but as far as I remember I followed Chuck's instructions in the Syren manual. I drilled holes from both sides of the hull at an angle and made sure they connected. Then I blackened them with a pen. The attached figure shows a closer look at the scuppers. I hope this helps. Thomas
  7. Beautiful capstan, Patrick! Your scratch-built version is a very nice improvement over the kit provided one. And the capstan is one of those deck features, which is very visible. Thomas
  8. Beautiful deck planking and great color choice! And I love the detailed explanations in your build log - it is a pleasure to follow along! Thomas
  9. Looking at your pictures I always have a hard time to believe that all these details are possible at that scale! Wonderful work! Thomas
  10. I can only agree! Your Victory lower deck presentation is amazing! And I am using your photo-etched parts all over the place, recently even in my M107 field howitzer model 😊 Thomas
  11. Don't worry about the year 2030. At the speed I am going you will be finished before me anyway 🙂 Thomas
