Thanks Patrick for showing your work. That's great. The Renomee is a graet love of mine but I'm much to unecperienced to try her even als a PoB project, I do fear the elaborated rokkoko decoration work, too.

Wow!  This is right up my alley.  I'm in!  Beautiful hull form, exceptional woodwork, and hands-down the best photographed build-log I have seen so far.  I'm really looking forward to watching this one take shape.  Great work, so far.

We are all works in progress, all of the time.

Hello, no epoxy, simple matte tape on which I can trace the location of the nails. Properly apply, trace, drill, vacuum and finally coat with wood pulp. A few words but in reality it is quite long! (Do a test as I described on the first page).

Patrick, this is a most beautiful build. Congratulations!

Could you tell me what wood is being used for the frames and hull planking, and what finishes you've used on them? The end result is really wonderful.

Many thanks,

Andy

Hi Andy,

For hull planking, frames and keel I use pearwood, boxwood for sculptures and ebony for the rest.

For the patina - (sheen ?) I use this type of products and "Brou de noix" : walnut stain ? Sorry for the traduction (Google)

It is necessary to make tests imperatively.

Beautiful work , Patrick. You must have spent hours turning those studded bolts. If you ever get tired of doing that you can purchase them from the following source. https://model-motorcars.myshopify.com/collections/small-parts-hardware/products/simulated-hex-nut-brass-nickel-plated-05-mm-k099n. They carry lots of different sizes.
