Last time I went fishing for trout, everyone around me was fly fishing, or casting/trolling and having absolutely NO luck...I sat on the bank using salmon eggs, and just tossing the line out about 10 feet and reeling in slowly...we could see 15-20 trout following the one one who had swallowed the salmon-egg covered hook right up to about 6 inches from the bank every single time.
