  5. Really nice. I've been able to walk her decks a few times. A real pleasure and it is interesting to see the difference between her appearances before and after the last restoration from 1770's to 1850's. Pretty cool lighting!
  6. My model came in last week in the same box. It is probably more cost effective. If it were a european kit we might be sunk with out the reference photos on the box, but MS does a good job on the plans. More useful are the insights from builders like you! Thanks for posting your build!
  7. Thanks for all of the pointers! Your changes make sense. It seems to me that doing all of that drilling for the rivets would be much easier off the ship. I see that three different sizes are available for the rivets (0.20, 0.25, and 0.35) at Tichy Train which size did you use? Thanks Marc
  8. Wonderful work. I'm going to use your technique for the treenails using the toothpicks. How did you trim them down. Did you use a fret saw? Thanks Marc
  9. Thank you for posting the build again. I know that it is quite a bit of work, but it is truely inspiring to some of us. Really nice work and very interesting. I hope to one day build this ship. Thanks again!
  10. Nice build. I thought the use of manila folder for building the boat planks was brilliant! I've never been able to get a nice clinker built look. Your's looks great. I'll try using that material in the future.
  11. Really nice work! very clean. It's great to watch it come along!
  12. what did she have for a figure head? santa or rudolph? Must have been able to fly fast through the fog.
  13. Very nice work. Can you give more information about how you created the template for the name on the stern. It really turned out nice. I can't believe this version of the kit. Really exceptional work! Thanks for sharing! Marc
  14. A weatlh of information in that website! Thanks to that site I've fallen back in love with legos. How useful they are - just like clothes pins!
