    Very nice work, Jack. Just curious, would the crew's side arms (the Thompson and M1 been kept outside the hull? I think the weather would have damaged them. But then, I know zip about tanks.

    I can see where something that small would be a real vocabulary builder and not in a normally socially acceptable way. Well done, Carl. It should make the DR1 pilots a bit nervous.

    I hate to tell you this, but that appears to be a generic galleon probably made in southern Europe. They were made as decorations like vases and people bought them for that reason. Value will be pretty much what you can get for it as they really aren't worth much.

    My sense is that it's the wood kits are the one's being pirated the most as they're comparatively easy to copy and make.

    Chris, No Proxxon here but tend to run the mill at the fastest speed for wood with a very slow feed and sharp bit.

    The yard would have been held up with the standing rigging, not the running. I'm not familiar with this model but the plans should show it. You should search the kit builds (see the pinned post in the Kit area for the index downloads) and see what they did. I think there's at least one scratch build you could search for.

    You did such a great job on that. I can almost believe you'll be doing something like that for your wife. Maybe you should? Work on it so that it becomes a surprise for here. That should get you a few points to the good.

    There's several ways to do that but I haven't done sails. Both ways are usually done before installing but here's three ways that might work. If possible, test first on old t-shirt or a cloth similar to the sails. 1) You can use starch. Spray it on and billow it out with a fan billowing out the sails until the starch is dry. You may have to do this more than once. 2) Make a 50-50 mixture of white glue and water. Brush it on and again use the fan to billow the sails. 3) I haven't seen it done, but I've heard that hair spray will billow them also. Again, you'll have to use a fan. Good luck.
