Hello Mobbsie,

Wonderful job! animaatjes-applaus-73650.gif

And a big cheer for you animaatjes-holland-03267.gif

But do be careful with all those sharp tools my friend. Otherwise you force me to buy a children's toolbox for you. That way you won't hurt yourself.

Take care,

Great job Mobbsie!

That's a lot of work that you have done!

But it looks great!

I think I bring my Aggy to you when i have her and when I'm at the stage of coppering  :D

But I have one question…..

What are you meaning with those rounding on the plates? Overlapping ?

Is there an other way then what you've done?

CONGRATULATIONS, MOBBSIE :champagne-popping-smiley-emotic

A BIG job, very well done.  I got out the microscope and see what you mean about the plates having rounded corners.  But she looks fantastic.

I would have had a heart attack if mine fell on the floor.  A true tribute to your overall physical conditioning.

Now, about all the wounds.  The Battle of Hastings ended in 1066.  We've seen enough blood shed  :D

Well done Mobbsie I know how you feel, one thing I have found this time, is adding a batten around the edge of the tiles and fitting it first makes it much more easy to fit and cut in that last row of tiles.

Hi Guys & Girls,

Thank you very much for all the kind remarks you've made, it's really nice to get positive feedback.

Progress continues, so far all the profile rails are fitted, the rudder is now a permanent fitment and painting the hull has commenced.

I don't have any pics just yet but as soon as I do I'll post em.

Be Good.

Hi Guys,

I have a few pics of the progress so far, and not all is as it should be.

The hull is painted and apart from constant touching up looks OK, I've started to make some of the deck furniture for the upper gun deck, such as ladders, capstan, gratings and the cooker.

I am at the stage now where the guns should be fitted but I thought I would have a look at what needs to be done prior to that so as to minimise any damage,

so I dry fitted the transom, it didn't fit. It was 3mm below where it should be and so started the refit.

The balcony deck had to be removed and the whole transom lifted by the required amount, this then left a large gap underneath which then had to be filled. A plank was cut out using the spru as a template, this was then fitted into place and any gaps filled with filler, the whole thing is now finished and painted.

One casualty which I didn't notice was the portside quarter window, the glazing had come away and had dropped halfway down, this has now been removed and I will glaze the actual window before fixing it in.

One word of warnIng to all who are building the Aggie, watch that transom, do a dry fit before fitting the stern balcony and make any adjustments as necessary.

Enough said, some pics.

That's looking very nice Mobbsie !

Thanks for the warning.

I think when I started the Aggy, we make a hotline like a red telephone or something like that  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

There are a lot of questions coming your way….

And yes, my first book was the Donald Duck  :D

Hi Mobbsie,

Transoms at period ships are always "to handle with care and precaution". HMS Diana required some adjustments too.

I'm confident you'll recover this just fine.

Very nice job on the coppering.

Kind regards

Nicely done Mobbsie,

Good pick up and fix on the transom too - I'm sure you'll be well satisfied with it once completed.

Looking great. I expect you'll be on to the rigging by next week at your usual pace of building. :D
