@ Sam,

You are an unbelievable guy you know that ?

At the end of this post you will see two pictures how the workroom looks at the moment !

You are satisfied now ?????  :P  :P

I wanted to start with the next planking in the middle of the hull but I changed my mind.

I'm now have started at the keel and work my way up.

There is a strange bend at the stern and now I can see how it will go.

I can play with the planks.

@ John,

Thanks !

Planking is just like riding a bicycle....once you know it you will never forget it !

@ Kevin,

Also thank you !

I'm gonna use tiles instead of tape.

That's what they provide in the kit so I'll use them .

@ Nick,

I know you are busy with school so no excuse please !

Thanks for the good word !

@ Sam,

Here are the promise pictures !

It was not ment to be a excuse, just to say that I was pleased to see some nice progress ;)

By the way, do you also have some nice weather there in Schiedam. Here in Loosdrecht is it almost 20 degrees, and that for March!

@ Patrick,

It's only one table that looks like that.

And because Anja has no time for her build I take her table to  :D  :D  :D  :D

I only have to make the promise that I clean it when she goes back to the Half Moon !

@ Doris,

You give me to much credits what about the inspiration.

It's the other way around.

If I'm 50 % from what you have doing I'm the happiest builder in the world  :P

But thanks for all the likes !

You reach you quote in no time at this speed  :P

@ Mark,

At the moment it is used !

But when it is at the end of the month and I go back to the San Ildefonso, I have to clean everything.

Otherwise I mixed things from the two models.......

Then you see parts of the Fonz on the Aggy ! :P

Sjors, yes it is VERY quiet in the SRC Ship yard. Work and other "Life Adventures" are interfering with the important things, like building. Hopefully in the next week or two I can get back on a build schedule. Till then I have to satisfy myself by visiting the other build here; I cant even visit all the build I follow in one sitting, I have to do it in little bits.  :(

@ Popeye,

That's a nice thought......planking at day time and rigging by night time.

And witch hours I have to work ?

I wish they have make 48 hours in one day..... :D  :D

@ John,

I just like working with Proxxon !

And when do you going further on the build ?

I want to say a few oh and ah's .......

@ Sam,

Take your time with it !

Even you can not read everything at once, it will be available on the forum !

The only thing is you have to read a little more.

But then you have more !!!!!!!!!

Planking still keep on going.

I wanted to put a plank on the stern with the strange bend.

That is not working !

As you can see in the picture, the plank was destroyed........

So I have to remove that and try something else.

So I started at the keel and work my way up.

When I'm on that point again I can see what I have to do.

And when i was looking how the glue dry I have make the gun carriages.

Now I have to drill more then 250 holes for the eyebolts and paint everything......

I'm happy that I have a power drill and not doing it with a hand drill  :P  :P

On the left side you will see the 18 pounds cannons and on the right side  the 9 pounds cannons .

You've got a very nice smooth run  for the planking Sjors, looks great.  At the stern I wonder if you think you will use a filler block for the awkward angle?  Hope you have a lot of fun with the cannons, you can put a lot of detail on those.

Cheers,

Jason

Hi Jason,

Thanks !

It goes very well with the planking.

It just runs how it should be.....

And you hit the nail on his head.

I have to place some filler blocks at the stern.

Then I hope it will be all right.

It's fun with those cannons.....

I have to make them black and all the eyebolts for the rigging.

They are gonna be fully rigged..... ( o dear, what i'm saying now....)

Hi Sjors, I have been following your build of this model with interest as I made the same kit some years ago and I am impressed with your work so far.

I note that you you are having trouble with the stern so I thought you'd like to see a photo of my attempt at this area, I hope it helps you.

Very nice start on the lower hull planking my friend.  And the canon look terrific.  Sorry about the stern --- hopefully the fillers will help out.

I'm not that familiar with this type of hull Sjors.......filler blocks would definitely help you out here.  I wonder if it might be a benefit if you continued this planking from the keel up?   I see lots of plank bending in your future.....you'll master it,  I'm sure of that!  ;)   the cannons look really good....they're going to be some mean looking 'barkers' when you get them finished.  ;)

Thanks All !

@ Chris,

That's a real beauty you have over there !

I can see how the planks go ,so i'll give it a try. Thanks !!!!!!

@ Augie,

Thanks also  :D

And you are talking about one canon ????????

I thought there where a few more ..... :P

@ Grant,

I understand why you want to see the canons rigged......

Then i can use the 2 mm blocks that I got from you  :D  :D

But that takes a while.

First the stern !

Love those problems.......

@ Popeye,

You have a lot of confidence in me.....

I will place filler blocks but also keeping planking from bottom to top.

At the end everything will come together !

And also everyone who Likes it, Thank you !!!!!!!

the good news it you saw the issue before you glued it in and moved on!  You can overcome this, I am sure, with patience and some Oude jenever you can conjure up the proper solution!

Those cannon are impressive, but that sounds like a lot of rigging work!!!
