  3. I have started my next model. It is the Blockade Runner Teazer. It was part of fleet of steamboats used by the North during the Civil War to blockade Southern harbours and ports, The scale is 1/250. I started the model the same as the last one using what I learned from the last one. However this kit is far more advanced and as a result it is easier to make mistakes. Everything started out okay but after awhile as you will see I have decided to start over.

  5. Dan, what I would do is bring the mast down to about .125 then I would drill the holes for the sheeves. Then Using sandpaper bring iy down to the final dimensions. David B
  6. On your treenails have you thought of going in from the other side? That is what I do with my drawplate and I am able to shave off very thin pieces. down to a number 80 drill bit. Run the skewer through the same hole several times shaving it then going down one at a time. David B
  7. Looking good. I will will be interested in your paper caulking. As I never had good luck with it. As for the cannon port, take a good look at the plans and they may be able to give you an idea of what to use. David B
