  1. Here's my finished long boat. I figure this being a US Navy ship, the boatswain's mate would be in charge of stowing the gear on it, so the oars are neatly arrayed head to toe and lashed. The boat's rope is neatly coiled in the stern and the rudder is stowed near the stern. All US Navy ship-shape. That's as good as I can do. I know it's not as good as the examples you all showed me, but.....I'm all thumbs.
  2. I know that feeling of frustration when you know exactly what you want to build, but your hands just won't execute it.
  3. I finished the long boat oars. I made 14 of them and then picked the best 8. I had a hard time making them all look the same.
  4. Nice work with your coppering. It looks very dificult.
  5. Dremel is what I have. I've found a thousand uses for it, but I've learned (the hardway) once you grind something off....you can't put it back. The Dremel can eat through a lot of material very fast.
  6. I like your Hardinge lathe! I put many precision air chucks on Hardinges.
