One question only: the cutting edge is symmetrical, so it creates a 'head' on both ends of the shank. What do you do with the end where no head is needed? Did you try this with a non-symmetrical cutting edge so it does not create a head on the end where it should not?

just cut it using wire-cutter or scissors.

Thank you for sharing this! The set of nails coming with my current kit have uneven heads and they look kind of ugly on the model. I was looking for nails with round head, but couldn't find a supplier. I never believed that I can make my round headed nails so easily!
