This should be fun. It looks more sci-fi than your space fighter

Isn’t that the machine Ripley fought the Queen Alien with? 😁

I've never seen one of these in real world usage, but it looks like a forestry tool, maybe for harvesting timber, although machines I have seen utilize a circular blade for cutting the trees vice the type of cutter this machine employs. It does look like a mean alien extermination tool. 😄

Spruebrothers have "lightning sale items" and this is where I scored this kit for a favorable price. I've seen a few more heavy equipment kits in this series from Hasegawa and I was interested to see how well it was done. Looks pretty darned good inside the box. Detail is excellent. Having been in and around heavy construction most of my life, I recall when heavy equipment from the East were the brunt of many jokes, but that is no longer the case.

Interesting that it's a real machine.  When I read the opening post I thought it was fictitious.   I'll go get some popcorn and sit down.

Scrapyard scene, cutting up old equipment for scrap. Or...a disaster scene, clearing construction debris. I'd guess there are a lot of things you could do with it, but for now, I'll be satisfied just building, detailing, and weathering it.

It's a demolition machine for medium grade jobs... I've seen on in operation pull down a 4400 sq foot 2 floor, (8800 total sq ft) steel framed brick walled machine shop in abut 6 hours leaving it in piles for the loaders to load into trucks...

Very efficient and powerful machines... Another one was observed to rip off the entire roof of a stick built home in 30 seconds then taking another minute to cut it up....

I'm down for this one....

Add a little armor for the operator and this thing could be an urban combat nightmare. 😁

Once the details have been painted inside the cab and all the instrument decals placed, it is cemented in place inside the cab. Next the window seal and placard decals are applied to all the glass, then those pieces are cemented into place. The window seal decals were very fiddly and quite easy to break apart being very thin. In hindsight, careful masking and painting of the extensive rubber seals would have been perhaps a better option. I doubt there are aftermarket paint masks available but if there were, I would buy and use them if doing this again. All the fit was good except for a little fitting issues with a couple glass pieces.

My wife bought my new best buddy a Valentines Day sweater yesterday. He’s five months old now, a mix between a King Charles Spaniel and Poodle. So much life, energy, and personality. Smart little buggar, too.

My grandson bought his little sister and my daughter a bouquet of flowers before we all went out for a fabulous Valentines Day dinner. Dinner was fabulous.
