Whew, I finally made it...9 pages later, boy am I late to the party! Thank you so much for holding my seat in the front row. Pass the popcorn Sherry, and Mark I really need a Jack and Pepsi please.

OMG I can't believe how much progress you have made already Sjors, not letting any dust collect on this one are you! Fine looking work so far, it is very evident your skills have improved considerably and you have learned from past mistakes, this one is going to be a real beauty!

Welcome to the show, Robbyn!  Good thing this build is a big one - even here in the balcony I can see it just fine - which is exactly how it is looking, Sjors - VERY FINE!!!!!

@ Robbyn,

Glad you find it and Sherry thanks for getting Robbyn over here.

@ Ferit,

I see you change your nickname? why ?

@ Bug,

Be a man and order that ship and have fun with it !

Just what I have !!!!!!!!!!

@ Mark,

I think you make a typing fault......

I think it should be 3014 instead of 2014 ???? correct ????? :P:P

When the middle deck is planked I think I go back to the San Ildefonso and do some rigging......

I want to switch between those two.

And for the rest of my friends.....THANKS !!!!!!! Also for the likes.

Hi Sjors,

Somehow I couldn't begin to work on my Berlin, the ship has been lost to sight from the horison... :)

I like the phonetics of the Latin language. Alpha Ursae Minoris (commonly North Star, Northern Star or Pole Star) is the brightest star in the constellation Ursa Minor. It is very close to the north celestial pole, making it the current northern pole star. When navigating in the northern hemisphere, it's the touchstone for the navigation... Maybe I'll find my way... :D

I know it's somewhat childish but I love this... :)

Best Regards…

Ferit KUTLU

Hah Sjors! Easier said than done. My lovely wife now insists that I have to have a plan for what to do with the completed ship before I can start it. :P And I still owe her the Artesania Latina stagecoach that she got for Christmas last year.

I might just go the route of the "double build" soon though like many of you guys.

No, no, no.  Sure, you need to know exactly where the ship will go before you start it.  But that does not mean that you need to share that information immediately.  You have 2 years to work on it.  Jewelery, a new car or perhaps a long-awaited vacation can come in handy here....especially when you begin moving the dining room table into the garage to make space for your masterpiece.

Dual build with a stagecoach.  Why not?  Check out the log on the Ogalalla Prairie Schooner :)

Update time !

The middle deck has his planking.....

With ( for the first time ) the tree nailing......

I also plank the bow deck.

That's it for the moment.

She goes on the shelf and the San Ildefonso is coming down again.

When the main mast has his shrouds and ratlines, I'll be back to the Aggy again.

Great work on the deck and treenails Sjors.  I don't know how you juggle so many ships at once!  Looking forward to more Aggy updates when you get back to her.  By the way, did you know that the crew's nickname for her wasn't "Aggy", it was "Ham and Eggs"!

Thank you all.

Now it is time to answer a few questions......

@ Jim,

I'm always in action.

Is it not with the SI then it is with the Aggy

And how about you ?

@ Patrick,

I just love the juggling !

I didn't know about the ham and eggs  but I like it  :D  :D

@ Augie,

It is tanyanika wood.

But I have put a layer of yacht varnish and then a layer of dull varnish over it as a second layer so you see the grain of the wood but not the shine......

And it is a lot of planking !

Cost me almost 2 weeks to do that.

I think it cost me 6 months to plank the hull  :P

@ Christian,

I drill holes with a drill of 0.7 mm.

Then I use filler ( Maranti )

A little sanding and after that yacht varnish over it so you see clearly the nails.

It's a lot of work but I think it works.

Some are using toothpicks and I doing it this way.....

@ Frank,

Not answering a question from you but how are you ?

And how is the Supply ?

Finished all ready ?  :P  :P  :P

Tanganika.......looks good.  I use the 'drill and fill' method for treenails as well.

WELL DONE,  all around.
