lots of masking to set up the aircraft identification markings with a combination of airbrush and freehand, as the wood decking was hard to mask and some bleeding occured, lol this will not be re done again

there is But I doubt they would have sat very well on the wooden deck,

Looking good Kevin. A tip to prevent the bleeding when you mask - paint a thin line of clear coat along the edge of the masking tape. This will seal the edge of the tape and prevent any coloured paint from seeping under. Hope this is helpful.

Glad to see that you back working on this ship again. It's looking very nice. I have been away for awhile because of the surgery and also my main computer is down right now, haven't gotten around to working on it because of the knee but figure in a day or two I should have it back up and running again, and then I can catch up on what I have been missing.

Wacko

Joe :D

Go MSW :) :)

Kevin, I downloaded your second image and looked at the EXIF info. I see that you are using a Canon 1300D, at 32mm focal length, f/4.5, 1/60 shutter speed, ISO 160, and shooting in Program mode. The reason you can not get a decent picture is because the depth of field is too shallow.

May I suggest you try this: Aperture priority mode, f/11, auto-ISO, shoot your lens at the widest setting, and tripod. Also, try to avoid taking images where your model is angled, as it is in both your pictures. This means that part of the picture will be in focus, while others are out of focus.

That weathering looks great, by the way.

Regards, Keith

Keith, I love you, in a very NRG MSW sort of way, lol

I bought the EOS 1300 in December to replace my EOS 350D and yes I do a lot of green zone auto settings ( just using it a point and shoot), - I will try harder, just need to adapt to the replacement, thank you for the advice

good evening everyone, today spent some time on the aitrcraft, and at the end of it, I just placed two of them and put some of the ships boats into position (possibly not the right position) to see what it looks like, I am actually quite pleased with it
