Preac was top of the line at one time. At the Constitution Museum in there repair shop they still have one and use it all the time. I know people that still have the one they bought back in the day and will not trade it for anything. -

Thanks for posting the pictures. It is Beautiful, maybe someday I will get one. Wish I had spent the extra money when I got the Proxxon. Will never make that mistake again, but understand I have had great results with the Proxxon but it's not a Byrne's by any means. good luck with your machine. I am going to be PMing you about some question about Mach3 in the near future. Best of luck with the new toy. -
Man your are having way to much fun with this. I am glad everything is sliding in nice and easy for you. Please keep posting the pictures. I have the "USS Missouri" from GPM in 1/200 and someday down the line I will start, but I will be using it as a guide for the Sterling kit I have of her in 1/192 wood. I got most of the PE kits and all of the guns to make her in the 1945 version. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Steve your right aabout the water being in the ship it would have made the color different. Remember your the Captain and you do it the way you want it to be. We all have that option all the time. A good amount of people change a good deal from the way the kit is, do it to your likeing and I am sure it will turn out Beautiful. Just my 2 cents. And keep the pictures coming they are better than looking at porn LMAO

That web site is "Sherline" Web site, There are tons of models there. I have look at the plane more times than I can remember and each time is an eye open for me. I do intend going there someday just to see them all, and take a tour of the place.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
