I wish mine was back in my bedroom, I sure would get more work done. Now that I am in another place it is downstairs and I am having surgery on the right knee this time and then they have to go back to the left knee again to find out what is wrong, I have been using the laptop upstairs because the stairs are killing me going up and down them. Will have the surgery on the 15th of May and then see how things are from there. This does suck believe me, I want my old shop back LOL.

Your planking and tree nail work is of top quality (not sure I spelled that right), the chain and rudder is right on, it paid off by doing the rudder over now instead of later. Keep the pictures coming.

Hi Remco. Congrats on getting true Vol 1. I have been following your build since you started way back when LOL. I haven't said much lately in your log because I just sit and stare at the pictures, just when I think you can't surprise us anymore you do it time and time again. I will be with you all the way to then end. I turn 60 in June and I will be counting backwards when that happens so I guess I will be a teenager when you get done. Keep the post and pictures coming. Thank you for sharing this with all of us.

Question on Shipyard Fixtures circa 1774
WackoWolf replied to edbardet's topic in Nautical/Naval History
There was a you tube video of it being done that someone posted before, I just can't remember who it was that posted it. It was a good video to. Maybe that person will see this and re-post the link for you to watch. -

A lot of people use tools found around the house that the wife use, just don't get caught using her stuff. I am sure people will step in and tell you what you can find and what you might want to buy at CVS and places like that.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
