  1. she's look'in good Bob......and likewise.....stay safe. I was look'in on a map cuz I have friends in the Daytona beach area........I see you live north of Tampa. batten down those hatches good!
  2. yup.....that's what I figured Kevin........the first progress picture was what I was thinking of you hadn't made that port side wall yet. I didn't want to comment...but my curiosity got the best of me. that will make for some really neat detail inside.
  3. she's look'in good Russ......nice smooth hull. noting the outlines of the structures on deck, perhaps one use would be as a footing, as one goes fore to aft...or aft to fore.
  4. I'm the same way.....I don't like to paint decks either. as I've seen though, some working boats do tend to have painted decks. it would be safe to say, that the wood grain deck is reserved for the sailing ship and pleasure crafts. I have done it though to a couple of my projects, and I like how they came out. as long as it works well with the subject. love the little boat.......so sweet to see the 'mini me' effect very nicely done........super progress
  5. so nice to see her in the dry fit........the decks really look super aft deck looks sweet!
  6. rigging is coming along nicely........the sails really fill out the masting
  7. comparing the picture above with this one, it appears that the hangars are too far back. they should be flush with the aft section of the structure, and appear more boxy. is there a port side outer wall that you haven't added yet? no offence either......always good to know where you are with your project. it is from that picture though, that I see this.......perhaps something you haven't though of yet
  8. thanks Piet shouldn't be long now noooo that would be one 'plaque' with a very short shelf life! it's hard to find a place where folks can get a decent piece of fish. we have a small family restaurant that does a nice feed........combine that piece of fish with some cole slaw and fries, and I'm happy. we have to go out to Hampton Beach to really get the good stuff.
  9. really nice progress Dan.....love the way the super structure is shaping up your embracing this medium in a big way...becoming quite good at it in a very short time! very well done!
  10. I believe i looked for this project a while ago.......never found it glad to see your log Floyd.....followed one of your other builds {T37..I think} and enjoyed it a lot sanding is one of my favorite chores { not}........bulwarks are looking good!
  11. ohhhhh.....you kidder , you! thank you so much J.........really appreciate the birthday wish. according to George Carlin, I've gone 61 years around one. I won't go into the rest of the skit.....kind of an ill thought it was a nice quiet day though.....got my Haddock plate
