  1. looks so cool Greg. I couldn't help but notice that you didn't do P.E. for the porthole rigols. did they supply P.E. for them?
  2. catching up Greg.........you've made some fantastic progress so much detail......painting will make it really pop
  3. your building your home? ......are you finished enough to bring them over? you must be I'll look the place up and show the admiral.......you already hooked me when you mentioned....lake just googled it up.........quite a layout!
  4. did I see her in the gallery? your finished!?!?!
  5. you'll have to let me know where your moving to. the admiral hasn't made up her mind yet, but S. Carolina seems to be the place she'd like to live {we've always talked about moving south}. have a great move and hope to see you popp'in in every once in a while
  6. looks like a very interesting build J...... I'll be following along

  9. looks awesome Daniel..........but what, you decided to bring it to work with you ? you did a very nice job. congratz! you know........if the old fella forced your hand, and you feel that you didn't get to do all you wanted to do with this one.......there's always the Cutty feel free to take as much time as you need
  10. have you thought up a way to hide the wires as they run along the mid ship opening on the spar deck? if you affix them along the inner bulwarks, you'll still have the lights and the wires and stuff will be hidden
  11. sorry to hear that Daniel......probably didn't realize how much work was left on the model. you gave it a decent go........hope he's not expecting you to make house calls has he seen the scale in which your familiar with? bring your little fella along perhaps, and show 'em....must have been hell bring'in your eyes back in focus your efforts are to be applauded! Shaz-butt..........there's no hand clapping emogie.........this one will have to do .................
  12. yes sir......you still have a lot of ground {hull} to cover looks very nice! how about 'grabber blue'.......rather than me cluttering your log with a picture of one of my models.....look in the gallery for either the Nordkap, or the Mary Ann. that's grabber blue....not as neon looking.
  13. catching up with the barge Chuck......a beautiful model love the panel frieze........nice touch of class
  14. you found a way........looks great! very nice with the sails
  15. those might.......I like the shrimp flavor better great synopsis Sam....a food-like product!
  16. my Sergal Thermopylae was the first model where I've ever had to remove the bulwark posts....I found it to be a problem, because the bulwarks becoming cracked was an issue. so it was probably good that you waited. knowing that I would have to do this, I didn't cement the planking to the posts, but rather I did between the planking that would not touch the posts. I'm also doing the Billing's Half Moon.......it is similar to the Santa Maria. on that one I had to add posts.....not enough with just the bulkhead posts. I noticed you made an adjustment to fit the brass decoration on the stern bulwarks. now that you've added the futtock riders, did you leave enough room for the decoration? your last picture looks like you did looks great Julian....you've done a superb job so far
  17. hello Julian....thanks for peek'in in. I have the trawler, the Boulogne, the Thermopylae, and of course.......that silly Jolly Rogers on the tables at the moment........any one of them could see an update. I'm kinda holding off on the others......but you never know, I could get a brain storm on something or other. all I can say, is keep an eye on the right hand side of the forum page, and with any luck, i'll get something to show up there I appreciate ya look'in in thanks again
  18. nice progress Daniel..........nice touch with the sails. they will distract from the other small problems you didn't fix. as said, you weren't going to fix them all look at the bright side......if you ever should put the moves on that Cutty, you'll be primed and ready for her
