It's build logs like these that truely inspires, and there are many of them. Extremely well done Augie. :-)

Hi Augie,

Just my 2c to say she is looking just wonderful. I love the way these wider angle shots pull the whole model together somehow.

I also really like the alternation of the open decking fore and aft....a very neat detail!

Cheers,

Nigel.

The ship is coming together beautifully Augie. It just keeps getting better with each update. I really like the contrast between the colors too.

Thanks to all for looking in.  I really do not deserve all these wonderful comments ....... if she looks good it's because she was designed that way.  I just do my best to follow Chuck's plans and practicum.  And the encouragement I get from you folks keeps me focused and striving to improve.

Augie, ever so humble - from where I sit you certainly deserve the praise - that is such an incredibly looking model.  The detail, cleanliness and tightness is really coming together to make work of awesomeness (yes that is a word, I say so).

Carry on - loving it!!!

Just getting caught up on the build, as everyone has said - great work!  Love siphoning your log for ideas.  :-)

Hi Augie,

All the above plaudits are well earned mate, it doesn't matter how well a ship is designed and constructed, the modeller is the guy who puts the life into any build.

This is achieved by adding a little love, devotion, skill and DNA. Add all that up and what you get is what you have built so-far, a superb ship.

Be Good

Hi Augie

I have been following your build - and just finished reading it again (for the second time). Your work is fabulous and the praises are well deserved.

Chuck's plans are directions are well deserved of all the credit they get also. He has created a fantastic kit and made it relatively easy for all of us to successfully build this beautiful ship. (Thank you Chuck!!!!)

That said, Chuck has created this awesome "paint by the numbers" kit - it is still you that are holding the brush.  And you have created a masterpiece.......

OK, mates.  You've all been so nice that I feel I need to explain my recent absence.  I've been hit with a series of physical problems (some old, some new) that have kept me completely out of the shipyard for the last 6 weeks.  Nothing life-threatening but they have combined to make it impossible to concentrate or do anything constructive.  Can't say for sure how much longer we'll be hove to.  Thanks to MSW, I'm able to 'keep my hand in' by following all of your wonderful builds.

So stay the course.  I'll be BACK !
