Wow... I had to look at those several times to fully understand this is a model.  My excuse is a second glass of wine.  But it is impressive.

Ekis,

It’s amazing how much the landscaping adds to the project! It brings everything to life. Your photography is top notch too. It all comes together so well. One of my favorite things are dioramas and this is definitely one of my favorite dioramas.

Well, I think the first third of the village is done. It will remain the sides of the pedestal to be painted in matte black.
A burst of photos to celebrate that ! 😜

Ekis,

This is one of those art pieces that I can stare at all day finding new points of interest the deeper I look. Very well done.

My mind can also drift of into the village and imagine I was living and working there. It's very relaxing and theraputic ...all homes should have one!

Regards,

Richard

Just wow.   Stunning work and well photographed.  The sense of walking the streets is unreal and not like a model at all.

Just my opinion, he should turn it into one of those modeling magazines and have a spread done on it....

It deserves a full front page/cover picture spread.....

Ekis,

I know you are most likely thinking the opposite, but I’m fairly confident in saying that most of us will be sorry when this project is complete ( to your standards ). I for one would follow it until the shopping mall has been completed ( or close to that ). This has been a great journey. Go slow!

After the base 1 (church + cloister), I went to base 2: center of the village.

Before plunging for a long time in the pavement of the alleys, I wanted to integrate a little more the base with the buildings, creating a massive underneath to the tower of the seigneurial dwelling: before aging and vegetalization.

And I move on to the mosaic of the streets with the paving stones and the central drain ...

C'est le coup le plus cool! J'adore l'angle.

In fact, you're right: it's almost a complete sampling of all the types of stones used!
And you can see very well the color of the original stone before and after aging... 😁
