I started my new project, a little ambitious, on an almost impossible scale: I always admired extremely small models, always convinced that it would have been an impossible job for me. It's a challenge against myself!

Obviously I started from the keel and it is already difficult to be able to keep the straight line.

One of the advantages of this scale is that you can use all the wood waste from previous jobs!

Love it! I suspect it will be much harder to do precision work at this scale but I'm sure you are up to it.

Beautiful work, you will have no trouble with this scale, your work is very precise.  My ships are all 1/96 scale, a bigger scale and I would need a much bigger house.  I will follow your excellent build with pleasure-Hal

I i am building this model at 1:96 scale, as it is written in the title.

the model you see in the background is H.M.S. Alfred that I am building at the same time, based on drawings by Harold Hahn at 1:72 scale

The model is now of extreme fragility and therefore I thought of starting the coating of the dead work:

Permanently filling the spaces above the wale added stability.  Consider a keelson;  and bilge riders at the head of futtock 1.   The clamps will certainly secure things.

I started working inside the belly ....

In order not to make the model too heavy, I decided not to place the planking of the hold

Sweet build, you have been a busy boy! The type of wood you are using? looks like Pear wood. You might want to do some inside planking if you are going to keep the framing somewhat open.

Tho wood is pear wood and brazilian boxwood for the wall of gunboats
