Brittish/Australian Navy WWII V&W-class destroyers were blue as well, e.g. HMAS Vendetta (1944), HMAS Stuart I00 (1942-2, 1945), HMAS Warramunga I44 (1943), and some Pacific located battleships e.g. HMS Duke of York, HMS Anson . These had a blue rectangle on the side. Very nice details, Greg. The PE makes the model come to life ...

No hazards wheather wise here, John, this is the wet part of the globe. Although it seems a bit strange to wish a happy new year when those are "threatened" by fire/smoke. Pat, those skylights look marvelous, you should take scale into account, and not mix up realism, with reality. Somehow modellers seem to think they can recreate at a small scale up to some tiny detail which would hardly be visible on an enlarged image of the real thing. You can be proud of your creation. Derek, A drawplate is used to make round dowels at certain sizes, you "draw" a squarish piece of wood through a hole in the metal plate. At least that is what the drawplates used on MSW are applied for in general Parallel pliers are pliers of which the beak is bent. When you open the beak, the distance between the tip of the beak up to the curvature, will be equal over that length, instead of getting smaller over it's entire length nearing the swivel point. The advantage is you get equal grip on that part of the plier

Roger, Wouldn't that create large tears in the bulkheads (once you get there) Usually those rasps are a wee bit rough for this. Besides, there is the difference between the hard and the soft wood which could deliver a surprising effect whilst rasping. It's just a thought as I have no experience with rasping the combination, and am used to cutting soft wood like balsa (with a knife) if I need to take off slivers, and sand the last bit

As per your usual, very lovely and crisp details, especially at the scale you work Interesting mobile laser cutter. Concerning the vector driver, does the cutter support the required software? For just the driver might just not be sufficient to get it working with vector graphics. Keep us informed on your findings please
