  1. I'm sorry to hear the news about Sam. Hopefully he can return to us in good health. Best of luck on the figurehead, Bob.
  2. Good to be back! But from the looks of it I'll be reading for the next month to catch up to you all. Thanks for all the good wishes ---- and the lantern!!!! Checked in on Confed and she looks fine but it will take a week to get back to the shipyard. Glad I have this log to remind me where I am.
  3. If they were mine I might put them in a safety deposit box rather than on the ship!
  4. Wow---I go away for a few days and come back to a 1/2 completed ship. Nice catch there, Frank.
  5. Love the tones on the cannon. Sorry 'bout the aches and pains. Look at the brite side --- they get worse when you hit 70!
  6. Thanks to all for the good wishes. Ken ---- thanks for the kind comments. On the missing photos, yes, it was an MSW glitch. Unfortunately, I didn't save the photos this time around so I have no way of replacing them. However, the process is well detailed, with photos, in the instruction manual for Confederacy which can be found at the following link from Model Expo: http://www.modelexpo-online.com/images/docs/MS2262/MS2262-CONFEDERACY-Instructions%20-%20WEB.pdf It's a long download. The specifics you're looking for are on about pages 46-52.
  7. Great idea on the cradle, my friend. And you didn't need any drop planks or stealers !!!!!
  8. It's time to close down the shipyard and head 'Over There' on vacation. Keep a lantern aglow in the stern galleries so we can catch up to the Fleet again in mid-October. I wish everyone smooth sailing and good progress in the interim. Leave me lots of catching up to do when I get back. Fare thee well, mates !!!!
  9. Good morning. Hope the nights' sleep brought some revelations and confidence. Works for me!!!!
  10. So you are describing two compound curves, in opposite directions, coming smoothly together on the same 'piece' or section. That had to be a serious challenge to get symmetrical. Well done, Mark.
  11. I think we all know just how much work is represented in this update. A very, very fine job, SIR.
