Coming soon

Le coreur is done and we're starting a new project

Our mortar ship La salamandre is temporarily unavailable for sale due to copyright issues, so we are ready to start a new mortar ship.

I started to design this kit in 2013, but his ribs were too complex, so he was stranded later,After years of experience, we feel that we can continue now。

It's wonderful to see you developing yet another amazing looking model ship kit.

Can you tell us what other model ships you are thinking about creating in the future? I would love to see a model of a chebec in your ship models.

Bob, he has already done the Le Requin, just waiting for Ancre copyright issues to settle.

Thanks, Lou, that would be a fantastic model. I think the xebecs are extremely beautiful ships. I hope he gets approval to go ahead and sell the kit soon. Here's a photo of the Le Requin model:

We will first make a section model to verify the accuracy of the design method
In terms of materials, we will use more delicate wood. It will be more delicate than pear wood, and its texture will be harder than pear wood, so that it can show sharp angles very well
This will better reflect the charm of the original plan

Yes, it will be divided into several parts

His keel and ribs are very complex, so we need to make some sections first

We will use a large number of auxiliary tools to verify the accuracy of the installation

He will use CNC to process and produce, and he is very challenging to me, especially the ribs

In addition, we will use some innovative tools and materials as an aid

This is the first time to use it in kit. It will greatly improve the accuracy of production and installation

I'm in all the way too!  I just happen to be in the process of building Caldercraft's Granado kit with Boxwood, and would just love to have this be my next build if not outside of my capability.  Totally stoked!!!  Great work, and please keep up the fascinating updates!!!!  Where do we send money 😉

Cheers!

I like the idea of using CNC-milling instead of laser-cutting very much. Snug joints without the need of sanding char away.

Current Build:

HM Brig Badger 1/48 from Caldercraft plans

Le Coureur 1/48 by CAF

Completed Build:

Armed Virginia Sloop 1/48 by Model Shipways / Gallery
HM Cutter Sherbourne 1/64 by Caldercraft / Gallery
