  1. The Pegasus is such a beautiful ship. I'll be following along and look forward to seeing your progress.
  2. Looks fantastic! Treenailing is one of the most tedious and boring steps in model ship building but worth it in the end. Nice job!
  3. Thanks, Al. It looks like it's a very useful material for certain circumstances.
  4. Well that's a bummer! Did you happen to see an evil doppelgänger of you hanging out at the show with sticky fingers?
  5. I'm not familiar with laser board, Al. Where do you get it?
  6. A new job, your own car and a wonderful girlfriend...it doesn't get much better than that!
  7. I'm really disappointed with the quality of the metal pieces supplied in my Pen Duick kit by AL also. They are crude and often totally unrealistic looking. Hopefully, they are small enough that they won't be noticed that much but I see them sticking out like a sore thumb!
  8. Replacing many of the plywood parts is making a big difference that you can really see. It's disappointing that the kit even used plywood for some of these visible parts in the first place. Your attention to detail with these little upgrades is going to make your model much better. Nice job, Rodger!
  9. You did a really nice job in a short period of time and I'm sure the crew and attendees at the commissioning ceremony were impressed with your model even if it was as complete as you would have like it to be. Thanks for all the photos also. They stir up memories of my Coast Guard years from long ago.
  10. I have a set of these chisels also and I just ordered Krell honing guide. What kind of sharpening stones will you be using?
  11. This is a stunningly beautiful model and your build log is a masterclass for the rest of us! Congratulations!!
  12. I just found your Bracera build log and it is a very beautiful model! Well done, Elmir! Are you building another model now?
  13. Beautiful model, Daniel. Well done! What will you be building next?
  14. Your model is really taking shape, Mark, and it's going to be special when you have her all done. Nice work!
  15. The model of this legendary ship is so cool! This will be on my ever growing tick list. It sounds like you had a fantastic trip, Hake. I'd be interested to know what your research is that took you France and Sweden.
  16. Fantastic model and beautifully displayed in that elegant case! Is that the Cheerful in the box?
  17. I can't imagine how much more "glam" it could get, Grant, since it's already so beautiful!
  18. I just found your build log, Doug, so I'll follow along too since I'm about to start building the Flirt also. I look forward to seeing your progress.
