Alexandru, There was a Hard Drive crash during server maintenance. It took out some of the mirror also. Here's the link": http://modelshipworld.com/index.php?/topic/6021-server-maintenance-scheduled/ The Admins have changed the array for Hard Drives to prevent this in the future.

Thanks for the support and the likes... Minor milestone... took the big pieces of wood and made about 850 small pieces of wood. Oh... and sawdust. I've closed the sawpits for now and the pieces have been sent to the yard for gluing up into frame blanks and then cutting into frames. Here's pics... and for those who wanted it.. a picture of (naturally) the sawdust from cutting the pieces. Hopefully, I didn't mis-count but I still have some "big" pieces left just in case. Now where did I stash that really large bottle of glue??

Mike, You are being hard on yourself, as Floyd says. You've done a beautiful job and also, part of the charm and joy of wood is the imperfections. You might give some thought to a sanding sealer before the final sanding and and then painting. However, even then, there's no guarantees because it's wood and it sometimes has a mind of its own.

Outside of scanning and redrawing the images, I can't think of any copy method that won't make the lines thicker. I don't know of anyone who sells the plans. You might try contacting AL (use Google Translate and put in both English and Spanish. Also, check on EBay... you might find a kit that's dirt cheap with the plans. It's possible that someone here has finished the kit and can send you the plans.

ah... got it. I thought maybe the motor was a "normal" (whatever the heck that is) run of the mill type with variable speed down to very slow.

Al, I would think that for a cannon, chuck the wood into the mill chuck. Mount your tool on the table. You'll have a cockeyed lathe but it should work depending on the vertical range of travel of the mill chuck. There are some here who have done cannons on a drill press. It would just be a matter of sorting out the head movement and table movement with lathe cutter attached to it.

Looking good, Raymond. I'm not sure the barrels would have stored on top of the platforms. Everything I've seen shows them laying on their sides in the main area of the hold surrounded in gravel ballast. I'm one who likes scale figures in shipbuilding. It not only gives you a reference to size of the ship but also to the "fiddly bits" such as pumps, pin rails, ladders, etc. Lovely work.

ZyXuz, It's good to see you back and with good news about your father. I like the doors under the forecastle, though I'm pretty sure, there never were any. On the other hand, it dresses up the forecastle nicely.
