  1. Danny, I suspect you're thinking ahead to a 74... production runs would be needed. Then again...that jig would speed up even a 22 gun brig build.
  2. Martin, Here's a link for the MM Micro: http://modelshipworld.com/index.php?/topic/256-micromark-micromill-review/ Things to consider: Size of workpieces and thus table movement? Accessories and will they fit the micro mill? And of course: quality and "fit for purpose"?
  3. Your secret is out... Agent P does the hard stuff!!! Stunning cannon.
  4. Thanks gentlemen. I hope to have a real update in the near future. Augie, You might be right. I managed to miss Myspace and am diligently avoiding Facebook. I do like the "like" button here though.
  5. Ilhan, Beautiful work and great tutorial, as always. I look forward to your next posting.
  6. Excellent info, Anthony. Thanks.
  7. Great idea on the milling and round stock. I've done the 4-jaw chuck bit and it's a pain to set up for each axle.
  8. Thanks for the info Paul. It's those little details and knowledge you're sharing that add more interest to an already fascinating build.
  9. Piet, I think two thicknesses instead of three and maybe painting it. Or maybe even just bevel one that's one thickness. The white wood jumps out when looking at it.
  10. Nice work Paul. The hinges probably won't be visible but they are there.. Curious, how did this rangefinder work? Did someone actually sit inside of it? I ask because the door looks small next to your figure.
  11. Sweet, Kevin. Looks just perfect, both the garden and the ship. On the ship's boats, do some Googling. I think Hahn did some of that. As I recall, a bunch of the builders of Chuck's longboat use long rods for display. Puts it right up there in the air.
  12. I Googled it and all I saw was it was off the coast to the norh. Actually Thailand... ? I didn't get to Thailand, either. Still, I remember the airport at Kuala Lumpur, RAF Butterworth, and visiting a host of coconut plantations as well as a lot of sighting seeing and wandering around the capital. A marvelous 2 weeks. Maybe I ought to add another visit there to my bucket list?
  13. Looks good Adam. Sjors is right... we all make those mistakes that need hiding. Some can be hidden, others not. So we learn and carry on.
  14. Sweet JP. Really sweet work on the wales. I re-looked and I still don't see the "mistake".....
  15. Impressive work. Somehow I missed your return from the party.. my bad. I visited Malaysia way back in 1970 but never saw Koh NangYuen. My loss.
  16. I think you get the idea.. I'm excited for you... fishing and flying... Actually, it's all about your Syren. Looks super super great. You deserve some time on something else.
  17. Nice cannons and fenders. I miss a day or an hour and you speed right along. Nice work.
  18. Nice work, Bob. I notice the that steps have the "worn" look which is an interesting touch.
  19. Hamilton, Sweet.. love the open bulwarks. Line still look great from the photos. You're still doing Blanchford proud.
  20. Popeye, You had the third round of bad luck...now you can progress on the Goth without fear!!! So if it rains.. it's pours. May good luck now pour on you.
  21. Looks great, Ron. If and when you run out of things to do on this one, there's always the next one.
  22. Grant, I think "Wow!!" pretty much says it all.... WOW!!!
  23. I do love that barrel... even if it is solid. You're moving to you and your wife's roots (so to speak) is so cool....
  24. Looks great, Christian. On the figurehead, I guess you could do a full paint job or make it look wood. I'm thinking just wood..... Worst case would be painting, decide you don't like it, strip off the paint and do it again.
