Hi Danny,

Congratulations on finishing your gorgeous build. Also my thanks as well for a beautifully detailed build log...while I started to follow along late, I know I will be using it as a wonderful reference log for years to come.

Finally, I think there should be at least another dram in that bottle for you...just one seems a bit light after so much work!

Cheers,

Nigel.

Vulture finished?! Can it be true? This log has been a good and reliable friend for years and one whose company I have enjoyed every minute of the way. Thank you Danny for a beautiful model and a thoroughly entertaining and educational log. Like others, I await the next one with eager anticipation - but we'll give you a week or so to raise your glass, clean the bench and sweep up the sawdust!

I know I said it was a great build etc, and I am sure that are some super model builders around but it was the extra time taken to document, photograph and explain as well as building it that I know we all appreciated :)

Great accomplishment Danny. It has been fun and educational. I will most certainly look back now and then to check how you managed to do all the tricky stuff I have yet to do.

Let me add my congratulations as well.  Your build is an inspiration to us all.  Hopefully, in a few years my Swan class will be able to hold a candle to yours. And now to check out your tutorial on the axletree and winch.

Wow, I go away for a couple of days and there are several pages of Congratulations   :D  .

My sincere thanks go out to :

Ian, Nenad, Nils, Chris, Grant, Cabrapente, Goerge, Ioannis, Druxey, Chris, Brian, Tom, Carl, Nick, Nigel, Sherry, Russell, Mark, Christian, Robin, Pat, Brian, Ed, Mo, David, Greg, Eammon, Adam, Piet, Johann, Ian, Jan, Richard, Steve, Doris, Popeye, Remco, Marc, John and Toni.

The ship itself is finished, but I still have to finish making the base and then screw her to it. That should happen in the next day or so, and then I'll take some good pics of her and post them in the Gallery.

The reason I've been away was I had to pick up my next project. This will involve finishing the Norske Lowe pictured below for a guy who's father died before finishing her. This is the same guy who's Mississippi Riverboat I finished a while ago. Once again it's a rather rough model, but nothing I can't handle :D .

Norshe Lowe Before 001.jpg

I'll do a Build Log of this project. Those of you who wish to follow it can access it through the Link in my Signature.

  Danny

Cheers, Danny

Heck of an undertaking there Danny!  At least it doesn't look like a "basket case" so I think you'll have her in top-notch order in no time.   :P Already got a "front-row" seat for this one.  B)

G'day Danny

You deserve all the praises for the wonderful ship.

It's look like you are "in for a penny, in for pound" again with that ship. Goodonyamate for doing that for a friend.

All the best
