I'm sorry to hear that you need heart surgery, Bob, but once you get that ticker fixed, you'll be in good shape for the long run. Wishing you the best for a swift recovery and looking forward to your next build post in the near future.

I have tracked your work since I discovered this site some years ago. Your work is always inspiring.

As the saying goes "love like youth is wasted on the young". One might draw a comparison to ship modeling and modelers. General health including sight, dexterity and the like, most needed for modeling alude us as we age and when we are most apt to be into this pursuit!

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Be patient with it.

Bob -- Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Take care of yourself.  I had my atrial valve replaced on June 6 and I can tell you, you'll feel a whole lot better afterward.

That’s very sad news. Bob was a fine modeler and one of the Winnie builds I often referenced. He was always pleasant to chat with about our respective progress.  Rest in Peace.

This is very sad news indeed. Bob was a mainstay on this forum and will be missed immensely by all who followed his builds and communicated with him. He was always so humble, soft spoken, kind and helpful and, because of those wonderful qualities, he most certainly left the world a little better place. Rest in peace dear Bob.

Bob was someone whose work I was always excited to follow and admire - and he helped me a lot with my Blandford some years ago, and I'll always be grateful for that - I know his logs here will continue to be a source of inspiration and instruction for many here. Rest in Peace, Bob

What a shock!
Rest in peace Bob, I didn't notice this message until now. I didn't know Bob for a very long time on this forum, but he had always kind words and tips...

Will someone of you living nearby finish the last chapter 12 of his Winnie for his family I was wondering?
Frank.
